Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you’ll leave Nairobi and start the  trip to Tarangire National Park.

When you arrive at the park, you have a high chance of spotting cheeky monkeys scampering around in the shade. You can also take pictures next to a massive Baobab at the entrance to the park.

When you enter the park, you’ll notice the Tarangire River, which is named after it. It is surrounded by acacia and baobab trees, and game wanders along its banks all day. You can witness dozens of different species in a limited area because during the dry season, hundreds of animals from the Masai steppe move to the Tarangire region in search of water.

Encouraging species including the Greater Kudu, Fringe-Eared Oryx, and Ashy Starling are unique to the park.

Take in an unrivaled vista of the Tarangire River while enjoying a picnic lunch at one of the park’s picnic spots. Keep a watch on your food, though, since the neighborhood monkeys would be more than delighted to steal a delectable treat if given the chance!

You’ll arrive back in Nairobi in the late afternoon.
