Tour Details

You will be picked up from your hotel at around 9:00 a.m. You will ascend to a height of 680 meters while traveling over winding country roads. You will be welcomed with some refreshments when you arrive. You will have a beautiful view of Mount Meru and Kilimanjaro’s summits, weather permitting. You will begin your tour with fresh vigor. A local guide will be with you at all times to show you the various plants and explain how to use them as household remedies. You will get back to Nairobi in around two hours, where you can unwind following your walk and take in a typical local lunch.

Following this well-earned rest, you will enjoy some Tanzanian music performed by the women of the commune while wearing their distinctively vibrant clothing. Additionally, you will have the chance to discover more about the manufacturing processes for their brand of cheese (cheddar, gouda, and mozzarella). The roasting and grinding of the coffee beans, which you may buy at the end of the trip, will be something you can help with. After such a busy day, you will be driven back to your hotel in the late afternoon.
